Lino Tagliapietra: Visionary, at Schantz Galleries
This summer, the Maestro will join Schantz Galleries in Stockbridge MA to present a collection of forty new artworks. The exhibition, which runs from July 11 through the 27, is free and open to the public. Entitled Visionary, the show “honors Tagliapietra as an artist of foresight and imagination who transcends his thinking mind to embrace his intuition and access the mysterious and the beautiful,” (Schantz Galleries).
Among the works in the exhibition is Tagliapietra’s latest interpretation of The Secret Garden series. Reminiscing on Venice’s hidden parks, Tagliapietra has re-envisioned this installation in tones of blue and green, naming the piece Laguna in honor of the city’s watery geography.
Continuously innovating, the Maestro has also created an LED illuminated glass panel, shown above. This piece, titled Aurora, encapsulates the mystifying energy of the Northern Lights.
As Schantz Galleries explains, “well into his 80s, Lino Tagliapietra continues to push himself and his medium, endlessly shifting his mark in a way that leads the viewer beyond the expected and into the uncharted and profound.” We invite you to join us in Massachusetts, for a celebration of the Maestro’s creative vision and dedication to glass.
