This January, new artworks by Lino Tagliapietra will be exhibited at the 2019 Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art fair in partnership with Schantz Galleries. From January 10 through 13 2019, the Maestro himself will be in Florida to introduce audiences to this spectacular collection.

The show features a number of never-before-seen works, including a multi-colored Dinosaur, and new iterations on the Florencia series, with newly-designed murrine in shades of bright green and electric purple.

At 84 years young, the Maestro flexes his creativity in this collection, concentrating, as Schantz Galleries puts it, ‘on the beauty and mutability of the glass’. This year, Tagliapietra created a new panel that sits in a custom built frame with LED lighting to highlight the incredible details of this work. The show at Palm Beach will be its first public exhibition!

Reflecting on his long career, Lino Tagliapietra explains that an artist must ‘listen to the intuition and make space for the imagination’. The collection shown at Palm Beach this January certainly demonstrates both the Maestro’s impressive command over the medium and his love of glass. We hope to see you there!
