Murano

Murano

Located in the heart of Murano, the epicenter of Italian glass blowing culture, Lino Tagliapietra’s studio is a particularly special place and has become a pilgrimage site for glass artists and enthusiasts alike.

The brick building is situated on Murano’s waterfront, just a 3-minute stroll from the island’s main water stop, Colonna. First opened as a studio in 2014, the building was originally a carpenter’s workshop and has kept much of its original architecture. Today, the studio represents Lino Tagliapietra’s contribution to the history of Venetian glass blowing and features works from throughout the Maestro’s long career. Exclusive to the Murano studio are works from early in Lino’s career, remarkable pieces that showcase the lifelong skill of their artist. We welcome you to explore the wonder of glass art at Lino Tagliapietra’s Murano studio, and to experience the history of glassblowing tradition through the works of the Maestro.
